“I keep moving ahead, as always, knowing deep down inside that I am a good person and that I am worthy of a good life.”
- Jonathan Harnisch
Meet Taylor Diltz, MA, LPC
I am passionate and dedicated to connecting with people to guide them through any challenges they may be facing. I embrace the strong belief that individuals need to focus on healing rather than not feeling. My approach involves bringing those feelings and memories we try to avoid to the front of our consciousness and process and heal from them in more appropriate and healthy ways.
I enjoy working with adults from a variety of backgrounds! My specialty involves working with trauma and mood disorders, including those with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and/or OCD. I also have previous experience as a behavioral therapist and enjoy incorporating replacing irrational thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with positive ones. I have training in many other areas and continue to expand my knowledge.
I offer a safe, caring, and compassionate environment for all individuals seeking support surrounding self-exploration, trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety, career, and other challenges. My sessions welcome everyone and offer a safe and supportive environment for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC.
I enjoy adding humor and unconditional positive regard into my sessions to add to the sense of connection, lightness, and support that make up healing. I love to approach sessions nontraditionally by dropping the feeling of a clinical setting - I want you to be comfortable! We can laugh, cry, explore creative/emotional expression, work on an art project together, and whatever else you need to feel supported! These sessions are yours, and I am here to support you in any way you need!
I apply a Humanistic theory into my sessions, and I utilize therapeutic approaches such as EMDR, Mindfulness, Person-Centered, Nonviolent Communication, Solution-Focused Therapy, and various others. I believe that through a therapeutic counseling relationship, every individual can unlock resolutions to issues they are facing in their life.
I have achieved a Bachelor of Arts, dual degree, from the University of Colorado, Boulder in Psychology and Sociology. Additionally, I have completed my Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology with Counseling Licensure through The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I also continue to receive various continuing education training to ensure that I can provide the most beneficial services and support possible.
I would love to connect with you to assess if I am a good fit for you and your journey to healing!
